Sustainability and environmental protection
River Lab is committed to minimising its footprint on the planet and making all its production processes as sustainable as possible. The preservation of forests and forests is undoubtedly one of the top priorities when it comes to environmental issues, which is why our company has decided to join the Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®). This is a non-profit organisation that operates on an international scale, defining guiding standards for conscious and sustainable forest management. As of 18/05/2009 River Lab has obtained the FSC® certificate no. FSC-C0002036, which certifies that the raw materials purchased by our company come from virtuous and consciously managed production.
River Lab is also an EKOenergy certified company. Thanks to the use of our photovoltaic systems, we contribute to the reduction of CO2 emissions into the atmosphere, using clean energy for all our processes. You can view the certifications held by our company by clicking below.
Our patents
Since 2010, River Lab has invested resources in the innovative development of a new product, the End grain edge. Its production process has seen a progressive study, development, design and implementation of new operating methods, including the introduction of new equipment. The first industrial patent for this product was filed in 2012 and granted in 2014. Thereafter, the company decided to proceed with the filing of new industrial patents of its End grain edge, in order to protect the result of subsequent and demanding development activities of this industrial process.
The granting of the subsequent patent has, in fact, recognised the inventive activity carried out so far. This research activity has made it possible to resolve a number of critical points in certain phases of the process and is in continuous evolution. Click below to view our patent certificates.
